Arrive in Athens

Welcome to Athens.
On our first day we’ll get acquainted with our bikes, tour details, get to know each other and have a good warm-up afternoon on the coast of Athens.

Athens to Delphi

Our day starts in Attica, old and famous region, set around Athens. It offers picturesque coastlines, many ancient wonders and rich heritage combined with urban buzz, lately developed in the capital of Greece. Gods and oracles are calling us to Delphi, ancient site under the mountain of Parnassus in central Greece. Nice countryside riding will get ourselves warmed up. Later today, we take a tour of this mysterious site before having dinner.

Delphi to Meteora

We’ll make our way north with great sweeping roads getting us first to Thermopylae, famous for historic battle and hot springs visited by many. Quick lunch and we’ll be grinding through flats around Karditsa and Trikala, trying to reach the famous monasteries of Meteora early as possible. Nice panoramic ride through small winding roads around these magnificent rock formations on which this amazing UNESCO heritage stands.

Meteora to Preveza

Great ride through many national parks of mountain ranges of Tzoumerka and Peristeri while we make our way south, towards Peloponnese Peninsula, but before that, an enchanting overnight in Preveza, a peaceful coastal town with cute tiny streets and excellent vibe.

Preveza to Olympia

We set foot on Peloponnese today. Riding over, or under, a beautiful bridge that connects it to mainland, over to Patras, big coastal town, usually best to avoid. Nice and relaxed riding, allowing enough energy for a tour of Olympia, archeological site famous for the birth of Olympic Games and its sacred sanctuary dedicated to Zeus. Lively town surrounds the site making it a pleasant overnight stop.

Olympia to Kalamata

Peloponnese is riddled with ancient ruins and mystery, but for now, we’ve had our dosage of knowledge, it is time to find the best roads, small villages tucked in the rugged coast, beaches with white sand, have a taste of Kalamata famous black olives, wine and all what this great region has to offer. Today we ride the mountains through Sparta and Mystras, climbing passes and finding our way through neverending forests. At the end of the day we descend down to Kalamata, our two night stop.

Kalamata – Exploration Day

Plenty to do around. Explore the coast west of Kalamata, find quaint little towns, get a taste of olive trees and cheese. Soak in the relaxed vibe of Kalamata and take a swim on the beach.

Kalamata to Monemvasia

Exploration till sunset. We head to the remote region of Mani. Tales of bygone era are being whispered here. Distinct tower houses are following you while you ride the tiny wingy roads through this rugged landscape. Somewhere to sit, have a fresh coffee and gaze into the sea. Slowly we make our way to Gythio, fishing town on the east coast of Mani Peninsula and continue to our final destination for today, Monemvasia, a stunning medieval town located on a rocky island.

Monemvasia to Nafplio

Lots of little villages and quirky roads taking us north. Great riding among forests rising on the plateaus does not end when we reach Leonidio and the coast, coastal ride doesn’t disappoint either. We’ll ride along the coast of Argolic gulf, passing some big towns and straight flat sections, until we arrive to Nafplio, another gem on Peloponnese. City speaks Venetian, Ottoman and Greek while you walk the old town, filled with shops, art galleries, bars and restaurants. Great town to do some souvenir shopping before we head back to
Athens.

Nafplio to Athens

Our last day, but not to forget this beautiful land, we’ll have a splendid ride today. First we visit Epidaurus, a testament to Greek ingenuity, architectural brilliance and cultural significance. Short 1 hour stop to stretch our legs. We’ll follow the great coastal road to Corinth before making our last connection ride on the motorway, back to Athens.

Departure from Athens

It’s time to bid adieu, but what a journey it has been! As we say our farewells, guests returning home will head to Athens Airport, while those extending their stay with add-on packages will be whisked away to continue their Greek escapades. Until we meet again, keep the wind in your hair and the spirit of adventure alive!
