Arrive in Chandigarh

With excitement and energy abound, we arrive in Chandigarh, the neatly planned capital of Punjab. After a mandatory evening briefing and getting acquainted with our machines and our tour buddies, we’ll enjoy an early dinner to prepare for the thrilling days ahead.

Chandigarh to Narkanda

Today, we embark on a mesmerizing ride from Chandigarh to Narkanda, passing through the enchanting Chail Wildlife Sanctuary. This scenic journey of approximately 5 hours will take us to the charming town of Narkanda in the Shimla district.

Narkanda to Chitkul

Venture along the rugged roads from Narkanda to Chitkul, covering a distance of 180 km. Experience the thrill of the journey as you soak in the beauty of the surroundings.

Chitkul to Kalpa

Witness the stunning beauty of Chitkul, the last village of India at the Tibetan border. Breathe in the cleanest air in the country while admiring the free-flowing Baspa River. After a hearty lunch, we make our way to Kalpa, a gateway between the lower and upper Kinnaur ranges famous for its heavenly sweet apples, and immerse ourselves in its tranquility.

Rest Day at Kalpa

Wake up to the majestic Kinnaur Kailash peak and enjoy a leisurely day in Kalpa. Use this time well by opting for a scenic ride along narrow roads to Roghi village or simply relaxing amidst the natural splendour. The adventure will continue in the days to come.

Kalpa to Kaza

After a delicious breakfast, we will continue our ascent through Kinnaur, witnessing a remarkable change in landscape — from green to arid beauty. Along the way, we’ll marvel at the confluence of the Sutlej and Spiti rivers at Khab and explore ancient treasures like the Gue village and Tabo monastery. Our journey today will end at Kaza, where we can unwind and enjoy the sunset.

Rest Day at Kaza

Spend a day exploring the largest township in Spiti District, Kaza. Delve into the local market, interact with the friendly residents, and visit notable attractions like the highest post office in the world, and Langza village. Don’t miss the awe-inspiring Kye Monastery perched on a hill with magnificent views.

Kaza to Manali

Brace yourself for the most thrilling part of the journey as we navigate challenging terrains and wild river crossings. This roller-coaster ride of approximately 180 km will take us to Manali, where civilization and great food await.

Rest Day at Manali

Take a break from the less-populated Himalayan villages and relax in the lively town of Manali. Here, you can spend your time exploring the old city or shopping for some rare, local goods. Pescatarians rejoice as we plan to indulge in the flavors of the Himalayas with a delicious trout dinner.

Spiti tour with GMT was just fabulous. The routes gave us all that is to experience here. Meticulously planned, on time, great on ground training, super professional team & quick response any time there was an issue. Being vegan, I did share my need to be fed w/o the usual Indian fare of dairy products. And I got just that in every meal too.

One word - too short, The tour was mind-blowing. The choice of places for accommodation were exceptional, the food was insane, the riding was intense and the roads were challenging. The lead and sweep were fantastic and very difficult terrains were conquered.

    Gaurav LoboNavi Mumbai, India

Everything was way better than expected. Everyone has a feeling of brotherhood towards each other. I got to learn a lot of things about offloading and my bike as well.

If I had to define my experience with GMT in one word it would be 'Exhilarant'. It was seamlessly organized, absolutely stress free. Not to forget the choices of accommodation were very unique.
