Arrive in Chiang Mai (Thailand)
Welcome to Thailand! Our team will meet you at the airport, and we recommend arriving by early to mid-afternoon.
At 3:00 PM, a van will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the motorcycle rental center for bike handover, document processing, and the tour briefing. Please bring your riding gear, as you will ride your motorcycle back to the hotel (approximately 20 minutes).
In the evening, we gather for our welcome dinner and the start of our adventure. Overnight in Chiang Mai.
Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai
Our first riding day is short and relaxed, giving everyone the opportunity to get comfortable with their motorcycle and Thailand’s riding conditions. We leave Chiang Mai in the morning and head north toward Phrao on well-maintained roads with generally light traffic.
From Phrao, we cross a scenic mountain range north of Khun Chae National Park, enjoying some of the finest motorcycle roads in the region. As we approach Chiang Rai, we take quieter back roads to visit the iconic Wat Rong Khun (White Temple), one of Thailand’s most remarkable landmarks. Take time to explore the temple grounds and enjoy a coffee at one of the nearby cafés.
A short 30-minute ride then brings us to our hotel in downtown Chiang Rai. After dinner, you can explore the city’s famous Clock Tower and vibrant Night Market before settling in for the night. Overnight: Chiang Rai
Chiang Rai to Luang Namtha
Today’s ride takes us from Chiang Rai to the legendary Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos meet. We visit Wat Sop Ruak for panoramic views, explore the fascinating House of Opium, and then follow the scenic “Paradise Road” to Chiang Khong and our first border crossing into Laos.
