Arrive in Paro
Paro is a beautiful valley located in Western Bhutan. Check in to your Hotel, take possession of your motorcycles. Take a short ride into the quaint Paro town or enjoy a walk along the Paro river banks. Relax and acclimatize to the altitude.

Paro – Chele la – Thimphu
We ride out on a steep and narrow old road with magnificent views of Paro town and valley to Chele la, Bhutan’s highest mountain pass. Soak in the views of the majestic Himalayas. Stop for an early lunch and we ride on to the capital city Thimphu.

Thimphu to Phobjikha via Dochu la
We set off from Thimphu towards Dochu la. A pass that has views of some magnificent peaks on a clear day. After a short coffee break we ride on towards Phobjikha valley, the land of the Black Necked crane. Visit the black necked crane centre and then Gangtey Dzong.

Phobjikha to Bumthang
Leaving the beautiful valley behind we set off towards Bumthang in central Bhutan, the Swiss alps of the east. After crossing the mighty pass Pele la we descend into Trongsa. We ride past the beautiful Trongsa monastery which once controlled trade between east and west and then past some really sharp roads that hang on to the cliffs. A very different landscape. We ascend again to Yutong la @ 3400 m and then into beautiful Bumthang.

Bumthang – Exploration Day
Bumthang also known as the Swiss alps of the east is another beautiful valley with pine tress and beautiful views. It comprises of 4 distinct regions that speak their own dialect. We explore few places like Jampa Lakhang a 7th century sacred dzong, Thang valley and Mebertso, known as the burning lake, before returning for lunch and an easy evening at our Hotel. Bumthang will truly mesmerize you with its beauty and gracious people.

Bumthang to Punakha
The journey to Punakha isn’t just a ride, it’s a dance with twists and turns that wind through the stunning landscape. Punakha has a rich history and Punakha Dzong is nestled between the confluence of 2 rivers. A sight to behold. Enjoy views of the Punakha River over dinner.

Punakha to Paro (Dzong visit in the morning and leave)
A Tour of the Dzong in the morning. Today we return back to Paro via Dochu la. The vistas that you’ve seen enroute will look different as we return. After a lunch stop in a traditional Bhutanese home in Thimphu, we push further to Paro.

Paro – Tiger’s Nest Trek
Get ready to lace up those hiking boots because this day includes an exhilarating trek to Tiger Hill. It’s a three-hour climb that’s not for the faint-hearted – but trust us, the rewards are more than worth it. Balanced precariously on a cliff’s edge, Tiger Hill Monastery boasts views that redefine the term “breathtaking”.
And what’s a day in Bhutan without indulging in some local flavors? We wrap up this incredible day with a scrumptious Bhutanese dinner. From conquering heights to savouring flavours, this day in Paro is a tapestry of unforgettable experiences.
