Take a sneak peek into our day-to-day journey
Arrival in Rome
Welcome to the Eternal City! Our adventure begins in Rome, where the spirit of Italy greets us at every corner. In the afternoon, we’ll gather for introductions and get to know one another before checking and picking up our bikes.
After a detailed tour briefing, we’ll wrap up the day with a welcome dinner — the perfect opportunity to share our excitement, meet fellow riders and toast to the incredible journey ahead.
Rome to Naples (Overnight ferry to Palermo)
Our adventure truly begins as we ride south from Rome toward Naples. It’s a relaxed riding day, a pleasant connection stage that lets us ease into the rhythm of the tour and enjoy the changing Italian landscape; from the rolling hills of Lazio to the coastal charm of Campania.
Upon arrival in Naples, we’ll board the night ferry to Palermo, crossing the Tyrrhenian Sea toward the heart of Sicily. As we sail under the stars, anticipation builds for the days ahead.
We’ll reach Palermo early the next morning — a city shaped by Greeks, Arabs, Normans and countless others, a true living mosaic of civilizations.
Palermo to Agrigento
After a much needed breakfast, it’s time to hit the road — and what a ride we have ahead! Today’s route takes us through the heart of Sicily, with stops in the legendary towns of Corleone and Prizzi. Expect beautifully curvy roads that wind across the island’s rugged interior, offering endless views and a taste of authentic Sicilian life.
Our destination is Agrigento, the City of Temples, a place where 2,500 years of Greek history still stand proudly against the horizon. This is a true “stop-and-see” experience — one of Sicily’s most remarkable cultural and archaeological treasures.
Agrigento to Taormina (via Mount Etna)
We head east today on another splendid ride, weaving through countless rolling hills and discovering some truly exceptional towns along the way, including the historic hilltop gem of Enna. Our destination is one of the undisputed highlights of the tour — Mount Etna.
Passing through Catania, the island’s vibrant capital, we begin our ascent to around 1,900 metres at Rifugio Sapienza, the main access point on Etna’s southern slope. From here, those who wish can take a cable car followed by a 4×4 vehicle to reach the dramatic crater area at approximately 2,900 metres above sea level.
We spend the next two nights in Taormina, beautifully perched below Mount Etna, offering the perfect base to soak in both volcanic landscapes and coastal charm.
Taormina – Exploration Day
Welcome to one of Sicily’s most enchanting towns. With its refined elegance and spectacular position high above the coast, Taormina has inspired countless songs, writers, and travelers through the centuries.
For those craving the sea, take the cable car down to the beach for a relaxing day by the water. Or stay up in town, enjoy an espresso in one of the charming cafés, and stroll along Corso Umberto — Taormina’s vibrant main street lined with boutiques, artisan shops, and gelaterias.
Whether you’re soaking up the sun, exploring ancient ruins, or simply merging with the town’s romantic Mediterranean vibe, Taormina is the perfect place to unwind and savor the essence of Sicily.
Taormina to Nebrodi National Park
Curves and bends — that’s the theme of today’s ride! We set off northward, tracing the winding roads that hug the coast while Mount Etna looms majestically in the distance, always within sight.
In the afternoon, we enter Nebrodi National Park — Sicily’s wild heart. This region reveals a completely different side of the island: raw, untamed nature, rolling hills, and deep valleys that make for some of the most exhilarating riding Sicily has to offer.
It’s a perfect escape into the island’s interior — a place that leaves you wanting more. And so it shall be!
Nebrodi National Park to Palermo
Our final day on the island — but the adventure is far from over! Today’s ride back to Palermo is a fitting grand finale, combining thrilling roads, stunning scenery, and a touch of Sicilian racing history.
We’ll travel through the Madonie Natural Park, where the legendary Targa Florio rally once took place. This iconic route — twisting, challenging, and full of character — captures the true spirit of Sicilian riding. Expect crazy curves, breathtaking landscapes, and coastal views that will etch this island forever in your memory.
In the evening, we’ll board the overnight ferry back to Naples, watching Sicily fade into the horizon as we toast to an unforgettable Mediterranean adventure.
Naples to Rome via Naples (Overnight ferry)
Good morning, mainland! Our final ride takes us back to Rome, weaving through the beautiful Italian countryside one last time. If energy and time allow, we’ll make a stop at the Royal Palace of Caserta, often called the “Versailles of Italy.” With 1,200 rooms and gardens stretching over 100 hectares, it’s truly massive and awe-inspiring — a perfect pause to soak in some history before the final stretch.
We’ll arrive in Rome in time to drop off our bikes and prepare for our farewell dinner. It’s the perfect opportunity to share stories, relive highlights, and celebrate the adventure we’ve shared — until the next time we hit the road together.
Departure from Rome
After an unforgettable journey through Sicily and southern Italy, it’s time to say goodbye. Memories of winding roads, historic towns, volcanic landscapes, and shared adventures will stay with you long after the engines stop — until we meet again on the next adventure!
